Toronto Western Hospital was not only a significant project for Modern Niagara, but also a challenging one. The prospect of updating the emergency room's existing medical gas system, without disturbing the everyday business of the busy hospital, was indeed the demanding factor. The $1 million dollar mechanical budget was done in 3 phases over 8 months of hard work to complete the project.
Located at the corner of Bathurst and Dundas in Toronto, the hospital has a very distinctive archway feature that was the main part of a $44 million redevelopment project. The construction team included University Health Network, Ellis-Don Construction, Dunlap Farrow, H.H. Angus and Murphy Hilgers.
